Pros
Most of the people here are incredible! Intelligent and empathetic coworkers are why I have stayed so long. I have had 2 amazing managers who have helped me with career development and are spectacular humans, all the way around.
Cons
Like someone else commenting here said, I am so sad to leave this review. The first year I worked at this company was such an exciting time; there was a clear, mission driven goal for the company. I felt looped into what was going on across the company and felt that no matter what "level" anyone was on, we were listened to and actions were put into place based on our feedback. Now, the word that comes to mind is "chaos." The goals of the company and "what we are" has changed too many times to count... I have now been through 3 cycles of layoffs/RIFs, and I know there was another before I joined. I am thankful to still have my job, but every time more people are let go, the staff left behind are saddled with a massive amount of work, when we were already understaffed in the first place. True to startup culture, you are often 'asked' (told) to fulfill responsibilities way outside of your job scope. The burnout is at an all time high across all teams. The stress the teams are under and the feeling that we aren't heard has led to the lowest morale I have ever seen at this company. The disconnect between the Executive team and the "boots on the ground" teams is profound. I have had many conversations where it feels the majority of us feel we are yelling into a void when we bring forth issues that are impacting our everyday work. The lack of tech resources in a "healthtech" company is astounding. The many, many manual processes hinder teams at every turn. Running into these issues a couple of times a week would be frustrating, but multiple times a day is debilitating and makes the job feel impossible at times. The high voluntary attrition rate over the last couple of years has made it increasingly difficult to make progress. Not only has key institutional knowledge been lost, but the time it takes to fully onboard and train new employees, at what feels like an almost constant rate, severely impedes efforts of advancement. Lastly, the compensation continues to be under market rate and does nothing to alleviate employees' feelings of being undervalued and overworked.
