Pros
*Parts Town is growing so rapidly, the opportunities for career growth are endless. *Strong belief in maintaining their culture: a culture of safety, hard-work, fun! *Stands behind the Core Vales of Integrity, Innovation, Courage, and Passion. They are not just words on a website or wall. Everyone lives and breathes them every day. *Seniority is not something that is practiced here. It doesn't matter how long you have been with the company. If you are living the Core Values daily, excelling at your role, and have a unique enthusiasm, you will get the promotion you are working towards. BUT do not expect it to happen quickly. Promotions take time! *Fun. Honestly, it is just fun. The people you work with become your friends. People are not afraid to be silly and we are encouraged to be ourselves.
Cons
*Parking. Parking. Parking. Because of the rapid growth, the parking situation is just miserable. The executives and managers have to park in a remote lot about 2 blocks away. *Sick Policy. Honestly, this is a terrible policy. At my previous company, there was no limit to sick days that you could take and you were not penalized for it either. That fostered an environment of integrity and trust between employees and management. But here at Parts Town, people who are legitimately sick are scared to use their PTO (which they are forced to use). This causes genuinely sick people to come into work and infect the office. I get that they are trying to weed out the abusers, but it's truly alienating the good/honest employees who have to take care of sick children/elderly parents. How can I give you 2 weeks notice that I am going to have the stomach flu? Or bronchitis?
