Pax8 is a very unique company in terms of the services they provide and how they operate, which creates a daunting task when it comes to developing a strong and efficient sales team. It genuinely is not an easy task when there are so many moving parts and things outside of their control. With that being said, Pax8 is at a point now where operational challenges absolutely have to get figured out...period. And it needs to happen quickly. Good talent will to start leaving in search of better opportunities. It has already started to happen. The job of the sales team is to bring more revenue into the organization. But that can be difficult when half of the job is spent figuring out what my current quota attainment is, dealing with vendor issues, or calming down frustrated partners because our processes are so jumbled. It's a pain that is felt by many. All startups (and all companies for that matter) will always have growing pains and issues, but this feels way more challenging than it needs to be, and it's dramatically hurting many individuals on the sales floor. Pay at Pax8 is quite low for the industry. An amazing culture does slightly make up for this, but when I can go make 30-40k elsewhere it becomes a hard thing to justify. This seems to be a constant theme in many other Glassdoor posts. Upper management continues to "work on" these issues, but often times it feels like we're being strung along.
