Pros

Nice office with snacks. Coworkers are willing to help

Cons

-Training doesn’t prepare you for a quarter of the work that’s required for this role. -Not able to take vacation during the holidays, the months of July, August, and February. -Will be overloaded with clients year round. -Extremely forced (Everything is awesome) culture. Very disingenuous. -Very clear disconnect from what sales tells clients and what implementation can actually do. Blame can be put on sales leaders and operations leaders, who clearly aren’t communicating or just don’t care. -Management consistently asks “where are we at with this client?”, and doesn’t have any valuable feedback. -Directors constantly said how “things will get better, we hear you”. BLAH BLAH BLAH. All talk, nothing ever happens. -Bombarded by multiple internal parties asking about clients who are not even in implementation anymore. -Wildly unprofessional clients we deal with every day. Clients always point the blame for their own stupidity. -Seems to be some misleading with the interview process as well. Had newer IC’s ask about how much consulting this job has. The answer is zero. This is a project management role where you check off the boxes to meet deadlines. -I’ve never worked anywhere that made me feel like I was in Office Space, except here. -This is a boring payroll company, not a software company. No matter how much they want to tell you otherwise.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the office environment and your coworkers. There are different initiatives that are going on to help improve the implementation process and management is working hard to ensure that we maintain our award-winning culture. I will be sure to share this feedback with the appropriate parties, and I would encourage you to reach out to me directly to discuss your concerns further at lrivera-haire@paylocity.com.

Pros

Work remote. Fantastic leaders, Definitely a place I have enjoyed working.

Cons

Pay is slightly less than competitors but work life balance and culture make up for it.

Pros

The pay is decent compared to the market and the tech is solid.

Cons

The company is abandoning their strategy of "partner first" and is doing their best to become a worse version of Paychex/ADP... Every decision that comes from the top seems so disconnected with reality. Turnover is a huge problem. In just 12 months I've had turnover in my director, channel partner managers, channel support, partner services, RVP, SDR, and more. It's impossible to get anything done when every position around you is a revolving door. Everyone I speak with across lines of business has a similar story. It is a mess across the entire org.
