Pros

Decent pay based on jobs held across multiple departments, though annual bonuses lag as always. 401k and comprehensive benefits offered, and many positions are fully remote. Training is comprehensive. Leadership intends to continue existing DEIA programs. Annual bonuses for operations staff if fiscal goals are met. Raffles are often hosted in all-hands meetings, which is a lovely addition to existing advantages. Overtime is discouraged but always available when needed.

Cons

Lot of movement as employees change jobs laterally between departments, so your manager may change fairly often. Have yet to have an incompetent or rude manager, but you need to be firm about what you need and what will happen if you don’t get it, as several coworkers have reported asking for general help with difficult situations and being told to just handle it. As stated in pros, annual bonuses are not keeping up. No COL adjustments.

Thanks for sharing your experience—we hear you! We’re glad to see you’re finding value in our benefits, training, and remote flexibility. It’s great to know you appreciate leadership’s commitment to DEIA and the little extras like raffles that make a difference. We also recognize that change can be challenging, especially when it comes to role transitions and leadership shifts. Your feedback on manager support and compensation is important, and we’ll continue striving for improvements that help our employees feel supported and valued. We appreciate you being part of the Paylocity team!

Pros

Work remote. Fantastic leaders, Definitely a place I have enjoyed working.

Cons

Pay is slightly less than competitors but work life balance and culture make up for it.

Pros

The pay is decent compared to the market and the tech is solid.

Cons

The company is abandoning their strategy of "partner first" and is doing their best to become a worse version of Paychex/ADP... Every decision that comes from the top seems so disconnected with reality. Turnover is a huge problem. In just 12 months I've had turnover in my director, channel partner managers, channel support, partner services, RVP, SDR, and more. It's impossible to get anything done when every position around you is a revolving door. Everyone I speak with across lines of business has a similar story. It is a mess across the entire org.
