Pros

The overall attitude of Pearson and its employees is fairly easy-going and promotes a sense of friendliness. The benefits package is solid. Management is generally understanding and willing to work with employees regarding both professional needs and allowing for personal needs when necessary.

Cons

There is a lack of upward mobility. This seems to be across the board. A steady stream of changes have kept the business from being able to move forward on a lot of internal projects. Many groups are left without any sense of real structure for years at a time. Its expected that everyone be satisfied with maintaining the status quo amongs the non-management employees.

Pros

When a project goes according to plan you can work with some great people and make decent money.

Cons

Bad behavior is tolerated when you have a weak team member. They are allowed to remain on payroll, even if they do not effectively contribute. The burden is often placed on the team members willing to pick up the slack. Promotions are not given to the most qualified. They are randomly assigned. There are some horrible scoring directors as a result.
