Low pay. Too much responsibility for administering the tests exactly right for the low pay. - Test Proctor Pearson Employee Review

Pros

It is a part time job. That is the only pro.

Cons

For the morning shift we have to arrive at 7:00 am. But not allowed to punch unpin until 7:15 a.m. Extremely busy. Very difficult to get through required onboarding learning when you are constantly doing the job that you have not been adequately trained for. One day I worked from 7:00 am to 2: 00 pm with only a quick run to the restroom. Hardly have time to do the onboarding tasks. Proctors have a lot of responsibility to make sure tests are administered properly. The pay is way too low for the complexity and responsibility of the job.

Pros

When a project goes according to plan you can work with some great people and make decent money.

Cons

Bad behavior is tolerated when you have a weak team member. They are allowed to remain on payroll, even if they do not effectively contribute. The burden is often placed on the team members willing to pick up the slack. Promotions are not given to the most qualified. They are randomly assigned. There are some horrible scoring directors as a result.
