Pros

The people culture is terrific, the majority of people at Pearson are passionate about learning, education and technology, and this makes for a great place to work. The workplace is pretty laid back, there is a casualness that is either good or bad. Always seeking ways to innovate, but it is a little like the titanic, too many parts that don't necessary work together quickly enough to get the job done effectively.

Cons

There is a really strong sense of individualism at Pearson, if the management like you and you tow the line you can go far, if you challenge then you quickly become persona-non-grata at Pearson. At both a local and global level it is disjointed, too many people doing the same thing globally but not sharing or speaking to one another or sharing expertise enough. And, too many cultures vying for attention, its a business of many parts, and for some reason it fails to create a cohesive brand and allows leaders of each business to perhaps drive their own agenda rather than the company one.

Pros

Decent pay. Not much else.

Cons

No lunch break, no breaks in general, can’t go to the bathroom for hours on end, the managers’ daughter gets special treatment because her mother is in charge. Constant criticism and unfair treatment.
