Mednax made a decision that they were going to outsource their A/R. When this happened they laid off staff and the staff that was left had to absorb the additional duties that came with outsourcing. During the 1st year of outsourcing, their A/R grew tremendously. Their provider enrollment department was prioritized to be primarily in Florida at their corporate office. After this happened, the credentialing and enrollment went to shambles. After they decided to bring A/R back from outsourcing, they were not equipped and staffed to handle the work load. During this time, they stopped all leadership training courses and changed the bonus structure multiple times. They lost sight of the importance of their employees. Upper management showed quite a bit of favoritism and it showed with decisions made or lack of corrective actions.
