Pros

Initially I thought it would be a Classier honest automotive sales experience of a quality product I believed in. But NOT. It's the same old game in somewhat nicer clothes. They find every way to minimize the deal so the pay is low for the time and work investment . Same old Rip off the customer and the trade and then make wholesale $$ at the auction on th trade (and therefore rip off the Salespersons legitimate profit/ Commission) required working weekends, holidays, daily 8 pm close and mandatory monthly "events" to all hours. You better plan to come in on your day off if you have anything even slightly working or it will be re-assigned to a favorite even if you have appt. set for your next day on. Horrible Sales Managers with sexist (read between the lines) agendas and favorites. Feeding deals to favorites. Horrible negative energy. Brain damage place to work. It was a long process to get on board this supposedly "Elite" auto retailer . Wish I had never bothered.

Cons

As above, plus not a good benefit plan, marginal commission and endless payplan changes/cuts.

Pros

I do not have any pros for Penske.

Cons

Their HR department does not hold their managers accountable for the abuse they are causing onto their employees. Being told to "remember to clock out" for lunch because we always have to work through our lunches is so small compared to all the other issues that occur in Penske. HR chooses not do anything to help their employees when they report something. They realistically do not care whatsoever that extreme misconduct occurs. They also don't ever care to explain the benefits that may be necessary for work/life stress balance except for one quick second at Power Up. HR does not tell you anything to set you up for success.
