Pros

Money is good. Benefits aren't bad. Environment is typically relaxed. Outside of the operations department it's a good environment with many chances to advance.

Cons

Mandatory overtime. Horrible management. Managers actively dismiss employee's concerns and well being. It's normal for employees to work 12 hour shifts for a month straight with no days off. For the past few years 60+ hour work weeks have been standard. If someone calls out they assign others mandatory overtime and 16 hour shifts. If the individual doesn't work it it's documented as a no call no show. Managers refuse to accommodate employees schedules even if resources are available. They just remind you that the job states abnormal shifts and dismiss you. Something as simple as switching off days with a coworker for one weekend is denied. Managers are familiar with the positions and micromanage constantly. If they're in a bad mood they'll investigate the activities of that day until they can find someone to write up.

Pros

Peraton is a great company to work for. My boss built a huge Datacenter from the ground up. He is very helpful to everyone in our team.

Cons

Onboarding is slow, it takes longer than I expected.
