Cons
The company takes advantage of this passion and offers little support to store management in order to do their job. The cuts prior to the sale made it impossible to staff and run the stores. This was a very top down approach to leadership and showed that senior leaders were completely out of touch with the store environment. Expect to work 6 days a week as a Store Manager and Operations Manager. Grooming needs a major overhaul beyond just SMS, there needs to be real leadership development for the Salon Manager. Most salons that I worked with generated more in revenue weekly than most PetsHotels, yet the PetsHotel has 1 salaried manager, 1 assistant, and 1-2 leads. Whereas the Salon Manager is left by themselves to lead their team. The only support they can hope to receive is from the Store or Operations Managers who are already overwhelmed with autocratic tasks.
