Pros

I had some amazing co-workers, both human and non-human (pets allowed in the office!) That's it. Nothing more positive to say.

Cons

Top heavy company. Too many leaders that all have differing opinions and no decisions can be made as a result. Instead they wait until the last possible second and expect the workers to get it done. The culture is bordering on toxic. They do shady things such as we didn't get a bonus this past year since sales were down. The shady part is that they didn't tell any of the employees. They were hoping we wouldn't notice. And I know a bonus isn't guaranteed, but they could've communicated WAY better. Instead they just look greedy. The leaders also expect their workers to basically be mindless robots that just do whatever they ask no matter how ridiculous. And save your breath if you have a good idea, they won't listen to you anyway. You also have an EXTREMELY hard time moving up in the company unless you completely change your career path. Or your boss quits. Otherwise most jobs are dead ends.

Pros

friendly store managers usually good discounts nostalgic

Cons

Forced to stay short staffed. Couldn't take proper breaks most days as a closing lead unless it was during the first few hours of shift. At the time the regional manager seemed more worried about the aesthetics of the back animal rooms floor that only employees saw when we had ac issues, issues getting access to an exotic vet, and only had enough hours to have two employees working at a time most shift on most days. I only had a couple interactions but that was one of them. Could not call off sick without leaving the store scrambling to find someone to stay open. Also sold improper habitats.
