-get a discount -get a paycheck

-while senior leadership is slowly making improvement and proposing good ideas, the direct leadership outside the stores (DL/ML/DSL) are unrealistic and out of touch. They rule by threats and fear and speaking down to people. -every single morning, but monday, we start our work day off with a conference call. It is meant as level setting and reviewing the day that was, but its actually a 15-30 min beatdown of how nothing done was good enough. Not enough dt, not enough sales, not enough engagements, etc, and then we start our day feeling rather worthless. This is only 1 of the 10 calls we are subjected to a week as we are over micromanaged. -get paid well if your an external, if your an internal you are not. -send recaps 4 times a day. Don’t expect encouragement from that cause if you don’t sell dt you fail. -got a question? Better figure it out since cannot expect a response when you ask, and go outside chain of command you will be reprimanded. -payroll. Need more. But no one has anyone to help if your short cause everyone is quitting. Running over? Depending who are you is ok. -we get to spend more time in office filling out metric trackers no one else has to. But don’t be in the office! They will be watching on the cameras! -being told district does not have a good reputation. -micromanaged through fear and intimidation tactics. -being watched on cameras now apparently. Everything is a gotcha. -being forced to do previously discontinued processes that were cut and so were the hours, eg communications binder. -lies about what is a company expectation vs there own personal agenda and expectation. -

friendly store managers usually good discounts nostalgic

Cons

Forced to stay short staffed. Couldn't take proper breaks most days as a closing lead unless it was during the first few hours of shift. At the time the regional manager seemed more worried about the aesthetics of the back animal rooms floor that only employees saw when we had ac issues, issues getting access to an exotic vet, and only had enough hours to have two employees working at a time most shift on most days. I only had a couple interactions but that was one of them. Could not call off sick without leaving the store scrambling to find someone to stay open. Also sold improper habitats.
