Pros
Most coworkers are great to work with. You can find a lot of employees who have an amazing depth of knowledge about animals, and they're usually happy to share it with you. If you like to be around dogs, you'll find plenty of customers bringing in their four-legged friends.
Cons
Senior management exhibits the philosophy of managing by fear. The district managers are feared by general managers and the "associates." The district managers usher in an endless stream of counter-productive procedures on a daily basis, making general managers have to formally approve almost everything an associate does. And almost every procedure is given as an angry admonishment. It's like if an employee drops something and it breaks, the district manager will demand that the general manager formally approve anything an employee carries. And there is enormous pressure to cut hours, write-up employees for petty things. It is not an employee friendly work environment.
