Pros
It's great getting to train dogs, that's when I'm truly happy at work. When I'm able to do MY job, it's amazing.
Cons
It is rare to be able to focus on your job tasks due to the lean payroll that corporate has been pushing on the stores. And so long as the targets are being met with burnt out, exhausted and sick staff doing 3 peoples jobs while customers verbally abuse them, random power hungry non GM "leaders" take credit for everything just to make themselves look good. As a dog trainer, I don't have time to properly run my program. One "leader" constantly says he hopes my classes don't show up...I understand his context, however, the level of disregard for me and my position from a MOL who has half the time at the company as I do, is ridiculous. The pay is insulting, especially for someone educated in the field of the position the hold. Training is minimal for most positions.
