Pros
Getting to interact with animals on a daily basis. Great staff Friendly customers (most of the time) Easy job if you can lift at least 60 lbs Learning opportunities for many different areas including but not limited to Excel, animal food products, grooming, etc. Easy receiving programs for products each week Corporate sends out gifts during holidays like 4th of July packages and Halloween/Fall packages to their employees.
Cons
You really have to suck up to management/corporate to get anywhere. Corporate tends to change their minds on things and are very wishy washy. i.e. You can have piercings one day and the next they yell at you for having piercings. Same thing goes for dyed hair. They definitely play favorites here. If you’re not a part of the cool kids club you’re stuck in the same position until you quit. Little to no room for growth.
