Pros
Friendly people. Pick your own schedule if you are per diem, which favors a student, bored housewife or someone supplementing their income with a side job.
Cons
High turnover. Saw many faces come and go. Low pay for the work and responsibilities in this industry. A cashier at Costco makes more. Food for thought. No pay raise or advancement as promised. Odd hours from swing shift to first shift to overnight in the same week + most weekends and holidays. You can say no to this as a per diem tech, but that means you get less hours and less hours means less pay. Can't live off that. Can't live off of barely $600 a month with no benefits. No benefits for per diem techs who usually worked as much as someone on the part time payroll with benefits. Extremely high nepotism in the workplace that favors a particular family because the boss is related to them (yes, mom, dad and daughter working the same shift). This family would take time off, vacations, breaks and lunch all at the same time and it would throw off the balance on the work floor, making workflow overwhelming for whoever is left to take care of it. Runs on the 2nd shift usually ended up late and drivers were always complaining. This resulted in lost business with many homes and hospitals.
