Sub par salary, not career advancement, leadership do not know how to manage, company culture is not tech savvy Danaher/Phenomenex does not care about its employees’ health and Life. As of 3/17, most businesses in LA and OC has allowed its office workers to work from home. Phenomenex still insists that a third of its sales team should come to work EVERYDAY (one week in the office, two weeks WFH rotation). I could understand that if the positions had to be performed on-site (e.g. manufacturing); however the sales positions are telecommuting jobs that only requires a phone and a laptop, and there is no reason for sales to come to the office at all during times like this. The only reason managers want reps in the office is because the company as a whole is not tech savvy, they do not know how to route calls to individuals correctly; instead, they just page “any available sales” over and over again on the intercom until some picks up the call; so the company mandates sales to come to the office just to pick up calls. This is ridiculous! Also some managers are not tech savvy; the only way they can get work done is to talk to employees face-to-face, which is a huge health concern. Then there is this lunch hour madness. There are 3 microwaves in the kitchen so usually plenty room for everyone and there is no line. However, during this time, they only allow 1 person in the kitchen at a time, which results in a HUGE line for people waiting outside the kitchen to use the microwave. What happens to social distancing? People could catch the virus while they are waiting in line! Also there are no wipes or sanitizers in the kitchen; it's a germ playground.
