Pros
Opportunities are there for people who work hard and have a good attitude. Performance related pay in sales means that if you are good at your job you can earn. A LOT. If you are not you will probably earn less (and complain about it).
Cons
Cost control can sometimes be inhibitive. Progress often comes at a cost, and provided the cost will be outweighed by the benefits, should be embraced.
