Pros

Work life balance. Unlimited sick leaves

Cons

Some managers are egoistic and unprofessional.it depends on project though. I ended up resigning owing to my scrum master and manager. They act as if they are technically sound and bring down genuine employees who don't do boot licking

Pros

Culture is great! Very fair with time given for onboarding and training. Everyone is helpful from People Services to the employees who are in a different divisions.

Cons

The company is massive! Not really a con though.

Pros

you seem smarter than everyone else because anyone who has been there for a while has no idea what they are doing.

Cons

hands down the worst company I have ever worked for. I walked out. I was warned by several friends who worked for philips to not take a role, due to the toxic insecure leadership. They were right. My boss was so afraid I would take his job, and refused to do my dev plan. told me I wasnt ready to be a director, and yet couldnt figure out anything on his own and came to me constantly. first day I am told by a a top leader that my backfill couldnt cut it. I could find no evidence of any work having been done from this person for the years that their leaders allowed them to waste millions of dollars traveling. she ranted for a while telling me I need to do this and that (very large transformational asks international and domestic). this lady had never been my field/role didnt know what root cause was, never seen a continuous improvement process in her life. I was a black belt, with 8 years in top industries. Every leader I met had a huge ego, would rant, get upset, yell, and tell me they know what the problems are (ok so why didnt you fix it? you have been here for 15 years?). I did my job, transformed entire sites which was a miracle I tell you, given how horribly incompetent everyone was. I was embarrassed on their behalf. Multiple leaders would disappear, never doing their job, only to reappear months later hoping you had miracle solutions for them. then they would scream, alot. games would be played. I feel sorry for anyone who has taken my role, and expect to see them on the job market very shortly. even knew an entire site that would tell me the leaders would scream at them daily, and how terrified they were. their reputation has spread to other companies and no one wants to work for them anymore. I was asked what I have been doing (after I literally saved them within weeks mind you of joining) with my time. it was clear there was a target on my back due to how poorly they were so evidently performing. I am no ones scapegoat. have fun with that, so I gave up my trajectory and salary to watch the inevitable fall that my gap would create for them. chess move. your move.
