Pros
The Phoenix Zoo is a fantastic place to work: Fun environment, varied job tasks, great coworkers. I can interact w/ guests & help enhance their visit to ensure they have a great experience. I'm treated fairly & my opinion is valued.
Cons
The pay isnt great, but it is unskilled part time and often seasonal work, so people can't seriously expect to earn a lot. Long hours on your feet almost exclusively outside, in all weather. It's a service industry job that has its share of dissatisfied guests. Some of them feel they have the right to take their dissatisfaction out on employees who are merely doing their job.
