Pros

It was great starting out. The company had a startup vibe that felt close-knit with the security of great benefits. With the speed that it’s growing (which is great) we’re moving towards a more corporate big brother kind of workplace. I guess that’s unavoidable. Coworkers are amazing and they do take care of us however.

Cons

Lots of juggling between actual work and training new hires. Sugarcoating negative changes can get annoying. Just say we’re getting rid of salary pay because we can’t afford it with all of the new hires. That’s understandable. It’s not necessarily “a woohoo big new change that’ll be awesome matey” for everyones situation. Maybe wider testing for new rollouts so we don’t get bombarded on the front end as well.

Pros

Work from home, benefits package, and a fun exciting culture.

Cons

Leadership's communication could be vastly improved. Announcements that affect employees in a huge way are generally made at the very last moment, which does tend to cause friction. HR has also had multiple "oversights" on paying people for extra hours/OT and also double pay for working holidays. How many times can it just be an "oversight" before it feels like the company is just trying not to pay you correctly? HR is also never the one to catch this, so double checking your paystubs has to be a routine to make sure you're paid accurately.
