Pros
In recent years, Pitney Bowes has made a concerted effort towards changing the culture to adapt to the changing business world. Productive people who take calculated risks are rewarded both in financial compensation as well as through expanded roles and promotions. The company also offers an employee stock purchase plan that discounts the stock by a minimum of 15%. The benefits are also much better than other Fortune 500 companies where I have worked.
Cons
The IT department is a hit or miss proposition. I have worked with very competent people; however, you are often met with very hefty price tags to make even basic systems changes. The expense report process is also a joke for a Fortune 500 company. Expense reports are done on Excel spreadsheets, printed, signed and mailed to accounts payable. This is a very minor complaint./issue
