Pros

Mostly dedicated employees. Diversity of product lines and technologies is good specially if you are into old technologies (IBM mainframe and Cobol are still alive and well). MapInfo location and management are probably the best in the company. It's a multinational corporation, so potential for mobility is there.

Cons

Company leans strongly towards outsourcing as much of the software development as possible to their Noida (India) offices. Too many legacy products with overlapping functionality are to maintain. Software development senior management of at least one product line (CCM) does not trust its people and tends to scapegoat and point the blame at everyone but themselves. There is a total lack of recognition of good effort. Cronyism is rampant. There is a total lack of transparency.
