Better than a few years ago, but strategy is lacking and plagued by politics. - Supervisor Pitney Bowes Employee Review

Pros

The benefits are solid, although 401k's are not matched very highly. Those who do the majority of the work are dedicated and generally a pleasure to work with.

Cons

Advancement is virtually impossible as they instead heap additional work on a declining workforce. Favoritism is huge and those who are not based at world headquarters are quickly forgotten. Middle management is set up to fail with too much work for too few people, and the talented depart first. They also make promises to those who they want to keep (raises, promotions), but then fail to follow through. Upper management has a clear plan for reducing redundant teams (following the prior team's buy up of numerous smaller companies), but this has also had an effect of forcing square projects into round holes. The projects that need to happen in order to keep revenue coming and reduce expenses operationally are therefore delayed and subject to massive cost overruns.

Pros

My team as well as other teams I work with have been amazing. I have grown so much in my role at Pitney Bowes. 15+ years with the company has been very rewarding.

Cons

Sometimes it's hard to balance work and personal life but that is more of a me problem. I love what I do and put a lot into it.
