Pros

overall I received great on the job training and was able to gain outstanding credit underwriting skills that in the long run made my career. also, the bank provided formal credit training.

Cons

senior management was very rigid and unwelcoming to outsiders- outsiders being anyone not from Texas. promotions were given to favorites and there was very little done to show employees are appreciated and valued for the contribution they make to the bottom line.

Pros

Great work life balance. Very flexible with appointments or other needs outside of the office. Great benefits (PTO, medical, etc.) Lots of company events and free lunches are a bonus. Company is great to work for overall. Very easy to scale your way up and they push you to grow. Love the culture as well.

Cons

Most of the work we do can be done from home but do not offer WFH. Pay is not that much compared to other banks.
