Pros

They have a good respect for my time and understanding that I have a life outside of work. They have a generous PTO policy in Canada, and they have several full company days off during the year. I really enjoy the work I do on my team, it took some time to become familiar with the large code base, but at the end I am now really comfortable navigating a large codebase. Part of this because my team has a pretty extensive set of integration tests that give me confidence in my ability to make changes.

Cons

You don't get such a large code base overnight, there is definitely a lot of weight and old decisions that you will need to navigate. I think it can be interesting, but that entirely depends on the problem you are facing and the person you are.

Pros

The team culture was incredible. Managers were very open and encouraging to explore new technologies and development processes. It was a very collaborative culture where engineers would often collaborate on solutions to complex problems which was especially nice given the displacement between all of the remote members of the team.

Cons

Outside of the team level, organization prioritization struggled. One day the stated priority might be one thing then the following day it would suddenly change. I would describe it as 'chasing a shiny object' instead of a thought out vision for what the project should be when it's complete.
