Pros
The parents are amazing and the kids are wonderful. They are the reason I stayed as long as I did.
Cons
Teachers are underpaid for their experience. When I was first hired with Plato, I was told by the CEO (now deceased) that Plato always strives to match or pay more than Pinellas County Schools and give performance bonuses. This only stayed true for the first couple years of working there. After the CEO passed away, things got very muddy and the teachers were left in the dark. They are under a lawsuit with the previous management company. They do not offer a lot of electives for middle school students. Also, the the work environment feels very high school. There are not any professional boundaries between administration, front office, and teachers. When you speak up for yourself, you get treated differently. The school environment changed a lot after my first couple years.
