Pros

Many good people and friendships I made working here.

Cons

The whole ownership situation of the place is very top heavy. Basically because the value of the firm keeps going up every generation of firm ownership that retires needs to sell off their shares to more partners thus increasing the number of partners. I think they're up to like 15 partners out of a 75 personish firm. Once you get to be a partner you should be bringing in business to support your salary because other then that they weren't really useful. Sure some of them designed and would sketch pictures for you to then model and some would even get into the model itself. (dangerous) So then they would put hours on the project that already doesn't have enough because the partner needed somewhere to dump their hours. The firm has a lot of expenses and has to minimize hours spent or bring in a lot of cash to make money. Seems they have really settled in on the K12 education market but unless these schools start allow dogs to enroll I don't see a future in that building typology unless something drastically changes and people start having more kids. Also instead of allocating staff properly to a project themselves, like they should, they put it on the employees to find projects to work on. It was a really bad way of doing staff allocation and in my mind was lazy and inefficient.

The firm has a younger aged atmosphere and has a lot of engagement with activities throughout the year.

Cons

The firm has a wide range of expectations for mid level employees but also do not enforce unmet expectations leaving a stigma that some are not doing enough..
