Pros

It's a great company with incredible managers here in Boston. There is a great collaborative environment where people really do work together towards our mission of democratizing tech skills.

Cons

The open office concept makes it very loud, especially when all of the engineers are mobbing. The pay and merit increase philosophy is confusing.

Pros

Overall, people were fun but not many other positives in the old culture.

Cons

People thought the culture was an amazing thing but in reality, it was more a "fun" culture than an accountable and business centric culture under prior leadership. The company remained in start-up thinking for too long and not long-term business. If the old leadership is reviewed, we can see the stock price issue, layoffs at a time when the leaders were well compensated, poorly managed PE, but former employees will say the culture was fine. It was a fun business but not a business where accountability was the strongest thing.
