Pros

Podium had some of the most talented people I have ever worked with. The culture was great before the layoffs. The on-site daycare is amazing, and the employee discount is really helpful. Things move so fast that you are definitely going to have opportunities to learn on the job and get promoted into something new in a relatively short timeframe.

Cons

Two layoffs in less than 12 months (12% cut in December 2022, 23% cut in August 2023). Executive leadership is extremely short-sighted and will announce major strategy shifts and then abandon those positions within a few months. The 401k match went away in 2022, alongside a number of other in-office benefits. Eric announced a return-to-office plan which arbitrarily mandated that every employee within 50 miles of the Lehi headquarters must be in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Mondays and Fridays may be worked remotely (this was held up as an example of flexibility). None of this was based on employee feedback - surveys are largely ignored and one exec actually complained when asked to meet with team members in his department. This company is still reeling from some major changes it made in 2022, and while the leaders will tell you how things are improving, the numbers tell a different story.

Pros

Great coworkers, lower-middle management, product, PTO “unlimited” which isn’t true but does allow flexible usage, generous 2 days off for many holidays, and catered food ~3 times a month, regularly stocked fridge with energy drinks, soda, and water.

Cons

Top down leadership disconnected from sales and customer success team. Little coordinated efforts between nearly every department. Overhauled the pay structure Jan 2026, getting rid of the performance based promotion and pay scaling. Preventing OM’s from making the advertised 77k leading to many of us now stuck at 60k or 66k w/ a horrible annualized raise schedule (high performers not getting raises left waiting for potential raises that likely won’t come this year). Nearly nonexistent HR that is hard to get in communication with.
