Pros

Good and fun coworkers Work life balance basically means you don’t really have to show up on zoom. You can do your laundry or cook and listen in to company meetings or other meetings. People hardly show up on Fridays so you can enjoy a 3 day weekend

Cons

Bad benefits (no 401 (k) match, expensive health benefits, and no company bonus plan. Company hasn’t grown in years. All the work is going overseas. Leadership talks about being transparent but there’s lack of transparency with pay, promotions, and salary ranges. People are just staying around because of the bad economy but so many folks want to get out of this sinking ship. The leadership team seem to be oblivious to what everyone else is going through and people share they get paid really well. Very unfair to the rest of the folks.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We're pleased to hear you’ve found value in the flexibility of your schedule and the camaraderie among colleagues. To respond to some of your concerns, Point is currently running 2 formal promotion cycles annually; the second cycle is new in 2025, and we’re excited to provide growth opportunities more frequently. The criteria to get promoted are straightforward: excellent performance, significant expansion in scope, and a business need for the new role. We're proud to promote those that work hard, deliver results, and demonstrate the values and contributions that make Point a great place to work. As we’ve shared in the All Hands, we encourage employees to talk directly to their managers about their individual performance and to set expectations about what growth can look like at Point. You can also use our leveling matrices to understand how roles change by level, which can help inform your growth path. When it comes to pay transparency, we’ve worked hard to roll out and share clear salary ranges, and every employee can see both their salary range and the one above. We use market data to inform our pay ranges and feel confident that we’re paying employees fairly based on role/location. What you won’t see us sharing openly, however, is individual performance data or individual pay data. While we believe deeply in our value of transparency, we also value confidentiality and always want to treat our employees with respect. With all of that being said, we’d welcome the opportunity to better understand your experience. If you're open to sharing your feedback directly, please reach out to us at hr@point.com. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts.

Pros

- The Recruiting process was exceptional. Everyone I met with was warm, smart, and genuine. The recruiting team went the extra mile and provided a level of white glove service that is not commonly seen, they made such a strong positive impression of the company when I was a candidate. - Impressive and fun onboarding that will set you up for success - Transparent and authentic leadership. You will know what's going on with the company and overall health. - GROWTH- Wow there is a lot of growth. Point has hit record breaking numbers and there is a buzz here. - Brilliant and supportive coworkers who genuinely help each other. It's a team environment. -Strong, fun culture with a real sense of belonging. - IMPACT- The work here is very meaningful where I know my work is making an impact for our customers (homeowners). We are helping solve a major issue that a lot of homeowners face (being house rich, but cash poor). Hearing the stories homeowners share are truly heartwarming as we are making a difference in their lives. - Company genuinely cares about people and growth. It's rare these days, but it's here.

Cons

- Due to the velocity of growth, there are some processes that are still being created and/or optimized. There will be some ambiguity and you'll have to navigate that. We are encouraged to provide ideas and help solve things along the way.
