Pros
Nearly everybody at the company is young and motivated. The company has a good business model and is profitable and growing. Most of the C-level management is engaged, friendly, driven, and genuine.
Cons
In my department, our C-level head was a nightmare to work for. Very smart guy, but he has a true problem: he is a micromanager and he simply doesn't know enough about the nuts and bolts of his department to make those micromanagement decisions. The only opinions he listens to are those of two or three of his "trusted" subordinates, who have an extremely spotty track record to put it mildly. The end result is a department that's filled with waste. You have talented, hardworking people with decades of experience... working twice as hard to accomplish half the work they should be achieving. Why? Because things are so inefficient, and the poor decisions have piled up over the years. Again, this is just one department. They're not all like that.
