Pros

This company is full of young, motivated, like minded people. Most everyone enjoys coming to work and it shows when you enter the office. The leadership understands that happy employees create a thriving business and overall happier customers. Their main focus is their people. There are always motivational seminars, monthly contests, and company outings that are very well attended. The people you work with will become some of your best friends and you will find yourself wanting to hang out with them both inside and outside of work. With this culture the company has created it has become a place people feel privileged to have found. Most employees take the job, like any entry level position, not sure what will come from it. Those that are ready and looking, find it is a place that you can grow professionally and truly make a career.

Cons

Mediocrity isn't allowed. If you are just looking for a job you can coast this isn't the place for you. This company will push you to be your best.

Pros

Power has been one of the few companies where I've genuinely felt invested in as both a professional and a person. I joined after retiring from a 21-year Air Force career, looking to challenge myself in a completely different industry. The transition wasn't easy, but I was surrounded by people who coached, mentored, and pushed me to improve. The company provides meaningful access to leadership, promotes from within, and creates opportunities for employees to grow beyond their job descriptions. I've developed technical skills in project management and construction while also continuing to grow as a leader through mentoring others and helping improve training. One of the biggest differentiators is the culture. Through the Black Empowerment Resource Group (BERG), I've had opportunities to lead initiatives, organize Black History Month and Juneteenth events, and build relationships with employees across departments. Combined with employee appreciation events, leadership development, and community involvement, it has created a strong sense of belonging that I haven't experienced elsewhere.

Cons

Power is a fast-paced, high-performance environment, and that isn't for everyone. Expectations are high, and the pace can be demanding, especially while learning a new role. As the company continues to grow, maintaining consistency in training, communication, and leadership development across offices will be important. There are times when processes evolve quickly, and ensuring employees have clear guidance and the right resources during those transitions will only strengthen the overall experience. This also means individuals need to stay actively invested in their own growth and in the scaling of the business to keep pace and succeed.

Pros

The training and support are second to none. There is a clear investment in developing employees, and leadership is always available to coach and help you improve. The culture is competitive in a healthy way—everyone is encouraged to perform at a high level, but one person’s success doesn’t come at the expense of someone else’s. There are plenty of opportunities for advancement if you’re willing to put in the work, and I appreciated being trusted with growth opportunities early in my time here.

Cons

The performance standards are high, and the role isn’t for everyone. It can be stressful at times because your results are measured closely, but the expectations are communicated clearly.
