Pros

A great place to work. A friendly environment with a strong value placed in work-life balance. Very casual environment and it doesn't give that traditional corporate feeling where I just feel like a "cog in a giant machine". Moving locations to a much more beautiful building shows that the acquisition from Vista is a positive thing as they're willing to invest money for PowerSchool's success. Multiple opportunities for growth as well, whether it be to a different department or you move up in seniority. The HPEL (High-Potential Entry-Level) model that Vista places value in for certain positions is very intriguing and gives PowerSchool the appeal for newgrads or those looking to make a complete shift in careers. Though it remains to be seen if this is a great opportunity for career growth, the foundation is there for those who are just entering the workforce.

Cons

No real cons here, but compensation and benefits definitely could be improved. By no means is the compensation unlivable, you can still make a good living and provide for your family. However with the Bay Area/Silicon Valley so close by (1.5-2 hour drive), many folks in the Greater Sacramento Area feel it's worth the commute to search for employment there due to their inflated salary rates.

Pros

The company is huge with lot of sub divisions because they acquire all the time. Latest tech and skills

Cons

Since I was part of the Acquired company, they kept the salary very low and I tried to remind them about my position and compensation a few times that give me what my position deserves , I was laid off in 2 days despite of great performance. Lay off happened as part of quarterly but in heart I knew I was not going to be a part of that if I did not ask for raise. not treated well at all. My position was remote.
