Pros

We make some very interesting and cool products. Being a major corporation, I suspect the pay and benefits are comparable to other similar companies, although I know for new hires there is no longer a pension available.

Cons

There is a corporate wide initiative called "ACE" - Achieving Competitive Excellence, which drives everything we do, to ridiculous levels. It is drummed into our heads from the CEO down. There is never a communication from the senior management that does not mention ACE in the body somewhere. It really reminds me of Orwell’s “1984”. Most of us feel the cost of this program far exceeds any benefit to the company. Our suspicions are further raised by the fact that the company does not track any costs related to ACE. All ACE related activity is charged to general overhead. Be forewarned, if you come to Pratt, you will be “ACE’d”.

Pros

Flexible work week. As long as you reach 40 hours for the week, doesn't matter when you come/go each day. Food is pretty good.

Cons

Quick growth to P3, but growth after that stagnates/fails to be competitive in salary

Pros

Great Benefits. Competitive compensation. Recognizes hard work. Engagement events.

Cons

Too politically correct. Need straight forward feed back instead of don't want to make things awkward conversations. Big corporate obstacles to getting work done.
