Pros
Premera's people are smart, kind, respectful, and fun to work with. It feels like a family, which is hard to find. Work/Life balance is good in many parts of the company - and having an employer that supports me when I have a family emergency is important to me. The people and the flexibility are the reason I'm still there.
Cons
Premera has done a number of layoffs in the last six months, and leadership decided not to communicate outside of impacted teams - which has resulted in low morale and paranoia. Premera is not a good place for women who are looking to grow in their careers unless they're willing to play the game - and play it well. Senior leadership is talking about culture change, innovation and transparency, but it's been nothing but lip service so far.
