The people are by far the best part of working for Premera. Smart, passionate, dedicated to helping people in our community. Working for a not-for-profit means compensation is never going to be top of the market, but it is competitive. The mission and values of the company are known, talked about regularly, and embraced. Free parking, good PTO, and work-life balance. I have enjoyed seeing and hearing from our CEO more regularly.
I feel good about coming to work here and I'm proud to tell my family and friends.
Cons
Look to modernize and bring benefits into the current times. Continue the culture changes that are being made to bring employees along for the ride. The employee forums are great! Mostly? Make yourselves visible to those in your organizations. It doesn't take much time at all or cost any money. Lead from alongside. We will go far together.
