Frustrating Work Environment - Appeals Coordinator Premera Blue Cross Employee Review

Pros

The pay is competitive if you live in western Washington. If you move out of the area or state, you can be making less then you were as a contractor before being hired permanently.

Cons

Priority is not on the employee or the customer experience. There is no communication among departments. If you ask the same question to 3 employees, you will get 3 very different answers. They seem desperate trying to bring technology current, but the shortcuts used are underwhelming at best and a complete failure at worst.

Pros

Remote job Good pay Decent Benefits

Cons

Overbearing, toxic management who don't really care about you as a person and your health, it's all about getting those numbers, I'm guessing that is how they receive their bonuses. People on the "team" who are not nurses makes you question why they needed some that were RN's. Unclear goal, unsure what it is that this position actually does for their members. Micromanagement.
