Pros
- Many of the people are amazing - the teams doing the everyday work are hardworking, passionate, and come for the mission - There are pockets of the company where change and modern cultural practices feel possible / in the works - Pay is decent, benefits are pretty good
Cons
- Leadership across the board is completely tone deaf. They hear feedback and do the opposite. The most toxic leaders get promoted. They are very out of touch with the teams actually doing the work. - Especially at the leadership level, interview and hiring practices are questionable. No idea how some of the leaders got hired in the past few years (skill set for the job was clearly not there) - I personally never felt like leadership cared about me, my security, or my belonging at the company. My team did, but leadership didn't.
