New Management - Premera recently hired a new CIO. He is trying to reorganize the department for the better. Improving Technology - Premera did a major lifecycle management project this year to upgrade technology.
Cons
Poor Leadership - With the exception of the CIO, all senior management in IT seem to be more about protecting their positions than doing what is right for the company. Project Management - The worst set of Project Managers I have seen in my career. Every project is managed by escalation, not by project plans. Resistance To Change - Many of the IT employees have been with the company for years and are unwilling to grow their skills or adjust to the changing needs of the business. Communication - Communication from management down to the associates is poor and inconsistent.
