Pros

Caring individuals throughout the organization. Plenty of opportunities to get out into the community. If you work on campus the atmosphere is nice.

Cons

Yearly reviews once in claims became challenging as I was never able to be informed what my minimum metrics were from leadership to be able to accurately self-reflect on my work and how to better improve from there. A little guidance or 'a box' to look at is helpful perspective to have when self-reviewing. Leadership shifts so frequently that change moves within teams very different. Often new leadership only had an idea of what they were going to be leading so it felt like the blind leading the blind at times.

Cons

Overbearing, toxic management who don't really care about you as a person and your health, it's all about getting those numbers, I'm guessing that is how they receive their bonuses. People on the "team" who are not nurses makes you question why they needed some that were RN's. Unclear goal, unsure what it is that this position actually does for their members. Micromanagement.
