Pros

I have been with Premier Roofing since February of 2006. I started as a Field Rep, was promoted to Field Supervisor, then accepted the Restoration Sales Manager position, and am now the General Manager of the Denver Branch. We continue to grow in the Denver metro market and have expanded to four other branch locations in Colorado and surrounding states. The people are all fun and up-beat. I enjoy coming to work each day knowing that our goal is to be the largest and best roofing company in the nation some day. Being a part of all of the positive growth has been an amazing experience.

Cons

It is somewhat of a cyclical business. The majority of our work is completed in seven to eight months out of the year. This comes with being in the construction business in Colorado or anywhere that the weather becomes a factor during the winter season. Fortunately, we find in-house projects and volunteer work for our team members to do so that we do not have to lay people off during the slow times. Many times our processes will change or adapt as we grow and compete for our place in the market.

Pros

High earning potential with a slow offseason to recuperate

Cons

To make a lot of money, expect to be putting in 12-16 hours a day, every day for 8 months. The income is actually lower than it should be because the overhead of this company is massive. They are constantly changing processes which can be good but for the most part, it just adds more work and hasn’t really show any positive changes in years. Ever since they sold out to investors, the company has taken a turn for the worse. Customer service satisfaction has dropped significantly. Employee satisfaction has dropped significantly as well. I worked at Premier Roofing for 9 years. At first it was great but not anymore. I sold millions of dollars for them and when I told them I was leaving, they gave me some time to close out my jobs. Then they cut me off 2 weeks early with no warning, stealing about $20,0000 in commissions. Yes, I am upset about that but the reason I decided to leave Premier in the first place was because the company changed too much, in the wrong direction.
