Pros

Sometimes you work so many hours you get a large check. But then you're on a 1099 so you end up paying it all back at the ens of the year.

Cons

No loyalty to contractors, report mill and if you try to tailor reports to help and support the students you get in trouble. Minimal video-based training with no support other than people telling you to work faster. Feel bad for districts who contract with this place it's all smoke and mirrors. They snag a district then throw all the evaluations in a spreadsheet and tell all the psychs here you go . Most of the time psychs take more than they can complete and the district is left holding the bag at the end of the year. Worst untrained middle management personnel and poorly organized. Frequently make promises they cannot keep just to make a dollar. So sad how they trick districts into purchasing such an overpriced system then never deliver.

We are sorry to hear that you’ve had a negative experience in your work with PL. We appreciate that the work we do in support of school special education teams requires supporting and prioritizing a quality experience for many important stakeholders - for our students, our school partners, our PL employees, and certainly for our clinical contractors like you. We do our best to match our school psychologist contractors with school teams that will be a great fit for their clinical approach. When there is mis-alignment we learn from it and continue improving, so thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us!

Pros

+ the colleagues I have worked with are delightful and driven to serve the students + my teammates are helpful and willing to pitch in + work life balance depends on the school season but overall manageable for being fully remote + company presentations are informative, highly scripted, and professional

Cons

- annual raises are stingy and below the inflation rate - the executive team and next level down leadership team are constantly turning over, which is exhausting - every c-suite title leader has changed in the last three years except for the CEO - the company strategy is unclear and my team's responsibilities have several times - it's clear that some teams are favorited way more than others (look at who they're hiring) - DEI has all but disappeared since the Chief People Officer left a few years ago
