Pros

Great, hardworking, mostly drama free people actually doing the work at the company. Creative and insightful people for the most part. Great company mission.

Cons

Leadership. Most of the leadership is not a good fit. From a CEO who cares more about selling herself than the sales of the company to COO who is fake-nice to hide how petty and incompetent she really is, to a CPO who doesn't follow her own policies (including confidentiality) and has never supported an employee with legitimate complaints (always takes the manager's side). We're so proud of being female led that we ignore the fact that these women are ruining this company

We are sorry to hear about your frustrations. We rely on employee feedback to measure the success of our leadership and company. Since 2019, our employee engagement score has consistently stayed above benchmark, and our most recent engagement survey was 15 points higher than benchmark. Additionally, in December, our employees participated in re-certifying our “Great Places To Work” status, with 89% of our employees affirming that Presence is a Great Place To Work. We are incredibly proud to be a predominantly female workforce, with 80% of our employees identifying as female and 44% of our leadership team identifying as female. Our company culture stems from a core belief in gender equity, and we are concerned by the elements of this post that reduce only the female leaders to one-dimensional attributes. We welcome a more interactive conversation with you to more deeply understand your concerns and ensure that we are receiving valued feedback on how to continue to build an inclusive and supportive culture.

Pros

+ the colleagues I have worked with are delightful and driven to serve the students + my teammates are helpful and willing to pitch in + work life balance depends on the school season but overall manageable for being fully remote + company presentations are informative, highly scripted, and professional

Cons

- annual raises are stingy and below the inflation rate - the executive team and next level down leadership team are constantly turning over, which is exhausting - every c-suite title leader has changed in the last three years except for the CEO - the company strategy is unclear and my team's responsibilities have several times - it's clear that some teams are favorited way more than others (look at who they're hiring) - DEI has all but disappeared since the Chief People Officer left a few years ago
