I had a very disappointing experience working at Presidential Exteriors. From the very beginning, there was a clear gap between what was promised during hiring and what the job actually turned out to be. The hours were extremely misleading. I was told the schedule would be 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM, but in reality, most days ran closer to 9:30 AM – 7:30 PM, if not longer. This made any sense of work-life balance nearly impossible. Compensation expectations were also heavily misrepresented. During the hiring process, it was strongly implied that almost everyone was consistently bonusing and earning over $100k per year. In reality, it seemed like the majority of employees were struggling to even break $30k. That level of disconnect felt intentionally misleading. The culture in the office was another major issue. There was a constant atmosphere of pressure and what felt like bullying at times, especially around performance and social expectations. There was also frequent peer pressure to go out and drink, which made the environment feel unprofessional and uncomfortable for anyone not interested in that lifestyle. Leadership raised additional concerns. The CEO often came across as erratic and unprofessional in behavior, which made it difficult to feel confident in the direction of the company. Whether intentional or not, it created an unsettling work environment. I was also told that another colleague of mine during onboarding was told that employees in the office were being rewarded with things like brand-new suits and Rolex watches paid for by the company. This turned out to be completely untrue—no one I saw or spoke with had received anything remotely like that. It felt like another example of exaggeration used to sell the role. Overall, this was an experience defined by misleading expectations, long hours, and a toxic culture. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to ask very direct questions and proceed with caution.
