Pros
This company has been a blast to work for. People are fun, easy going, mostly friendly, and the office atmosphere is really cool. Managers are nice, seem genuinely invested in our success, and help create a positive place for people to work. On Monday’s, people get to challenge eachother based on performance in the field, and the result is always funny and up lifting. There’s a decent opportunity for upward growth in the company, and it’s encouraged by upper management, which is great! Cons aside, it’s a good job. I would definitely refer my friends and family to work here if given the chance. Great opportunity for young and hungry salesman.
Cons
Minimum salary for a field marketer was listed on Indeed.com as $45,000. Thats false. Field marketers make $1000 every two weeks (thats not including bonuses). Field marketers don’t get paid bonuses or get commission unless they make a certain amount of “demos” (by cold-calling door to door...) through free estimates per week. Which is extremely disappointing. Also the job discription was vague, and didn’t emphasize enough that this position is a “door to door salesman.” The term “field marketer” is just a fancy way of saying we’ll be knocking on people’s doors all day. The vans our teams go out in are gross. Training didn’t cover even half of the wack stuff we see out in the field. Also, we are not paid for the amount of appointments we set. So we could set 3 appointments a day (15 appointments in a week) but if only 3 of them demo, we would not get a bonus for that week. False advertising by the Indeed.com job description as well as the people who offer us the job. One upper management person said “if you set 3 appointments a day, you’ll make 83k+ a year” that’s false. I’ve met marketers who set 5-8 appointments a day and make barely 68k a year.
