Pros

Flexible schedule, half decent benefits. Pau was okay.

Cons

I was really good at my job but it’s a completely skewed pay structure. You can suck at your job but if you’re in a high volume store it doesnt matter. Managers that didn’t hit their goals made $1000 to $2000 more than me just because they lucked into working at a bigger store. I was left alone for 4 out of 6 months. No co workers or help. No offers to give me pay or allow me to take a vacation. Nothing. They dragged their feet on hiring somebody. I’m a female who was left In a store alone and was berated for not hitting goals and getting overtime. They didn’t lower goals or offer me relief. My store was CLOSED an extra 8 days a month and they RAISED my goals. No one understands math in this company. They’d rather have a .220 Hitter with 200 hits than a .350 Hitter with 175 Hits. One person is clearly better at baseball but it wouldn’t matter to Prime. They value the lowest common denominator who can lazy their way to a $2000 commission check. These managers were continuously lauded while managers like me and few others I know were workhorses and constantly derided. I worked my butt off for $1000-1500 at most. Hit all my goals, was continually ranked the top store in my district and top 5 in the market. Didn’t matter. They understaff stores and complain about overtime. They find ways not to pay you. There is no critical thinking skills in this company. It’s laughable. The collective IQ of ownership can’t be as low as they act it to be but that’s the way it seems. They’re either extremely daft and greedy or that unable to use their brains. I finally quit when I was asked by manager to just start adding stuff without customers knowing. This kind of behavior comes from the top down in Prime. Ownership is disrespectful to their employees. There’s no question why half their employee roster left the company within the first 6 months of their most recent merger/purchase. They’re too cheap to even put color ink in their stores. They disabled alarm systems and police alert buttons because they “care” about their employees.

Pros

Physically easy and potentially good pay provided you’re smart and good with people.

Cons

Goals always feel like they changing and just when you get how you max out your pay they change something. It feels purposeful to reduce payouts and keep everyone at around the same pay and maximize company profits.
