Pros

Health insurance & discount on wireless bill

Cons

Prime Communications only cares about sales numbers and couldn't care about the state of their employees. Sales goals are constantly raised as a blanket metric regardless of your location or traffic, if you work in a small town and don't get the traffic required to meet your goals; its a write up, and continues to escalate from there. The pay structure is constantly changing, sometimes every month. The sales goals are set in a way that makes it almost impossible to make any sort of commission unless you work in a busy downtown store or mall. Prime Communications doesn't respect your personal time or health. If you get sick or catch COVID you need to use sick time or even if you want to just go on vacation, you're still liable for hitting goals for the time that you miss. Market directors and district managers, really upper management in general like to say that "they're committed to their employees health and safety" yet constantly leave us understaffed and under equipped for day to day work. Prime Communications also heavily encourages shady and under handed sales tactics and to have any longevity in this company its something you need to get used to doing. Prime Communications constantly takes advantage of customers and runs circles around them until the customer is past any return or cancelation windows. Prime Communications is also self aware of how horrible a company it is and strong arms its employees into flooding sites like this with 'positive' reviews while simultaneously working to have the negative ones removed. I really could go on and on about how much of a dumpster fire this company is but ill end it here.

Pros

Solid day-to-day leadership experience with your team, you own the coaching and scheduling and get real reps developing people. Genuine autonomy in how you manage your employees day-to-day. Commission offers earning upside when the month breaks your way, and running a small store means a close team and a wide range of responsibilities that build a broad skill set.

Cons

Almost no real store-level autonomy, nearly everything runs through your DM, and you can't modify or change how the store operates on your own call. You don't control hiring or training; your input is limited to scheduling and coaching. You have authority over your team in every respect except the one that matters most, firing, because the DM prioritizes tenure over performance, since headcount tenure feeds his commission. And the commission structure is the real problem: it's so hypersensitive that virtually everything impacts your payout, which makes earnings feel unpredictable and outside your control no matter how well you actually manage.
